Baseplate dimensions
The Spot-On Sundial measures 41.8 cm. square, and has a 65 x 9 mm slot located on its centre line 68 mm. from the
top edge. The tenon of the gnomon passes through this slot, and the gnomon is secured two bolts passing through a 75 x 20 mm
securing plate, which enables the bolts to be tightened to keep the gnomon accurately in position. A 75 x 20 recess approx 10 mm. deep is required in the plinth to accommodate the securing plate and bolts.
If an additional physical fixing is required, there is a central M6 blind hole approx 8 mm. deep into which an M6 rod (not supplied) of any required length can be fitted and secured through the top part of the plinth.
